Hello! I am Ms Shar. Thank you for visiting my digital portfolio.

I am a Tijuana/San Diego native.
My adventure in HTeCV began in 2012 after graduating from UCSD with a B.A. in Visual Arts. As a nature lover I immediately fell in love with the school’s location and have used it as a source of inspiration for projects.

I am constantly amazed with children’s potential to innovate and their desire to explore the unknown. I feel passionate about creating a safe and rich environment in order for students to feel free to be curious and not only get excited but stay excited about learning.

In my free time I enjoy doing art, traveling and being outdoors with friends, furry friends and family. I like taking care of our butterfly garden and you are welcome to join me any day after school. 

 

During the past 8 years I’ve been spending my summers working for “Opera en la calle” a non-profit festival in Tijuana that makes Opera music and other forms of art accessible to all.

I am really grateful to be part of this loving community and collaborate  with children as we explore and discover.
